Attorney Demissie is a highly experienced attorney who specializes in criminal defense of major crimes in state and federal courts. He has served as a lead attorney in a number of high-profile cases.  In addition to criminal defense, he handles complex litigation in civil cases. 

 

Attorney Demissie has tried numerous cases before a jury in state and federal courts and argued several times before the Massachusetts Appellate Court, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Demissie advises and represents both individuals and businesses.

 

Attorney Demissie regularly teaches lawyers in many aspects of criminal defense and regularly serves as a panel member on continuing legal education programs designed for practicing attorneys.

 

Attorney Demissie is the current president of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and past vice-president to of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

 

Attorney Demissie has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by his peers each year since 2014.
