Soon thereafter, she sought an internship with Demissie and Church and has remained with the firm ever since.

Since her start, she has worked on high-profile cases, civil rights cases, civil litigation, criminal jury trials and appeals, as well as pre-trial and post-conviction motions, under the supervision of Attorney Derege Demissie. Her work also includes vacating convictions, Asylum cases, post-conviction relief for immigrants, interviews with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), hearings in the Immigration Court, and cases to secure Special Immigrant Juvenile visas under the supervision of Attorney Susan Church. Most recently, Attorney Allen was selected for the Suffolk Lawyers for Justice Program to represent indigent persons in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Her passion for human rights continues to inspire her work as a lawyer, activist, and citizen.
